My Story

 

 

I have loved every minute of my journey. My passion for cooking and creating fresh tasteful meals began when I was a little girl growing up in Romania, an area best known for castles, vampires and the Carpathian Mountains. Ever since I was strong enough to stand, I began cooking alongside my family. We made meals from scratch using all natural ingredients.  As a Romanian Gypsy, my family fled racial persecution from Communist Romanian and immigrated here when I was five. We lived in Clear Spring, Maryland and were very close to the Mennonite family that sponsored us through our immigration process. I learned from some amazing Mennonite women and learned to cook old Pennsylvania-Dutch favorites.  I have a large blended family, and my husband and I take pride in our seven children. I love being able to work for myself and the freedom it allows me to be able to balance my large family life.  I am so thankful God has blessed me with such a supportive husband!

 

I love cooking using natural fresh ingredients. What sets me apart from regular chains & convenience food is that all ingredients are purchased fresh and meals made from scratch. I have a passion for creating healthy tasty meals to allow you more time doing what you love. We have busy lives and if you don't enjoy cooking as much as I do, then it can become overwhelming. Let me help simplify your life.  I also enjoy celebrating milestones with my clients such as engagements, rehearsal dinners, weddings, baby showers, birthday, anniversary and more.

Education & Certifications

In 2017, I graduated Valedictorian of the Culinary Arts Program at James Rumsey Technical Institute. Their program has American Culinary Federation Accrediation. James Rumsey Technical Institute was selected in 2016-2017 and awarded for Premier Technical School within the state of West Virginia.


In 2017, I was inducted into The National Technical Honor Society. This honor society for outstanding career and technical students of workforce vocational education institutions in the United States.


I also had the pleasure at working at three fine dining restaurants where I held the title as Chef de Garde Manger and Catering Sous Chef. Also love being able to offer Private Chef Services, Cooking Classes & Catering Services since 2017
